Briley & Dustin

5.15.2022 | Toccoa Falls

How We Met

Briley found us on Instagram and we could not have been more excited to hear that her and Dustin were getting married at Toccoa Falls! We had not been there since Lauren & Austin’s wedding in November of 2019 and we loved every minute of that day! Briley & Dustin were planning on having a smaller, more intimate wedding so everything would be happening on-site at the falls. They booked us and we were so excited to begin planning!

Love Story

We love hearing how our couples met! Read about their love story from Briley's eyes:

"Dustin and I met when we were in high school through mutual friends. At this time, we were both dating other people and didn’t think much of dating each other. Fast forward to summer of 2017, I decided that I would text him (I know so romantic) and just see where things went. We went on our first date with my cousin and her now-husband and have been together ever since! We spent the first three years of our relationship long-distance, seeing each other every other weekend while I was at college. I would come home to see him and other times he would drive his old truck with one mirror over 3 hours to come and see me.

After college, we dated for almost another year, no longer long distance! He finally asked me to marry him on May 8, 2021 where we spent most of our relationship, my college town, Johnson City, TN. It was such a special day spent with my brother and his talented photographer girlfriend who caught the most perfect pictures!

We’re over the moon being married to each other! Although we no longer have to travel more than a few feet to see each other, we love to travel and have already taken 3 different trips since being married and can’t wait to travel with each other forever!"

Down to Business

With Briley & Dustin living in Tennessee, all of our meetings took place over Google Hangouts or phone calls. We would have lots of emails back and forth determining other important details. Since we didn’t even have an official rehearsal together, the first time we met Briley & Dustin in person was their wedding day, but that didn’t stop us from acting like good friends!

The Big Day

Our time at the bridal suite started early that morning and Kaitlin Brady with Watch Me Work started working on the ladies! Briley had 2 bridesmaids, her mother, and her mother’s best friend in the room with her as they were getting ready. The vibe in the room was chill but excited for the big day! When we arrived, we checked on the ladies before heading over to the reception space to begin setting it up. On our way over to Toccoa Falls welcome center, we met Ginger Sumerlin Photography as she was going to get set up in the bridal suite for the day! While we were working Cabe Crest Catering arrived and began cooking food for the reception and it was starting to smell so good! After moving some chairs and tables and making sure the room was perfect, we went back over to check on Briley. Ginger had gone over to Dustin’s Airbnb to get some getting ready shots of him as Briley was getting the final touches on her hair and makeup. Not too long after, Ashton Corvin Films arrived and began getting content for her videography. When Ginger returned, Briley read her letter from Dustin before stepping into her dress by Monica's Bridal. We did a first look with Briley’s father and then one with her brother right after. We love getting to stand in the shadows and watch the first looks!

In the meantime, Downtown Flowers arrived with all the personal items and the greenery to decorate the mantel in the reception space while Jitterbug Rentals had delivered and set up the chairs down by the ceremony site. We moved Dustin over to the falls so he could see Briley for the first time! After that, we were off to the races to get wedding party photos and family photos taken! Just before the ceremony, the falls were closed to the public and guests began to arrive. We moved the wedding party and the family back inside to cool down for a minute before getting ready to line up for the ceremony!

We golf carted all the family and wedding party down towards the falls and began the processional. Briley was absolutely stunning as she walked down the aisle! We loved how intentional their service was thanks to their pastor who took the time to make it so personal about Briley, Dustin, and their relationship with God. As they exited their ceremony, guests threw petals on them to celebrate their marriage!

Guests were invited to head back up to the reception space while family photos were taken. We introduced our beautiful newly married couple and watched them do their first dance before asking their parents to dance with their child. Briley’s father said a short welcome and a blessing before we opened the buffet and finally got to eat that good food we’d been smelling all day! Guests were invited to get seconds as Briley & Dustin began to walk around to greet their guests. The last thing we did before the night was over was have Briley & Dustin hang out in the water for some last-minute photos that turned out to be so stunning!

Something Spectacular

Briley & Dustin knew their crowd. Dancing wasn’t going to be a huge hit, they’d rather socialize and catch up with each other. So they created a playlist of their favorite songs to play in the background while everyone chatted with each other!

Raving Reviews

"We cannot recommend Marmaros enough! Megan was so easy to talk to and was happy to answer any and every question I had. She made getting married out of state stress-free! We had the most perfect wedding day thanks to her and Brenna! They were helpful, kind, and just overall wonderful on our wedding day. Megan even got in the creek to ensure we had the perfect photo-op. Our wedding would not have been the same without them. Thank you so much!!"

Happily Ever After

Working with Briley & Dustin really was a highlight to our May wedding season. Their wedding was a breath of fresh air and we loved that they not only knew what they wanted but they also knew what their guests would enjoy. We know that they had a fun mini-moon in Asheville and had a great time in Jamacia! We love you, Briley & Dustin and we know God is going to do great things in your marriage! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Boynton!
