How We Met

Tecia has known Megan and Mallory since their time in the KSU Dance Department together! During Megan’s freshman year, Tecia and Megan were cast in the same piece together and from the countless rehearsals and performances a friendship was formed! Over the college years Mallory and Tecia were friends with one another, but the friendship truly deepened during Megan’s bachelorette trip/wedding. In the years since graduation, this friend group shared countless stories over meals and wine. We were all THRILLED when Preston popped the question and Tecia was officially entering into her bridal era. Once Tecia had an idea of some of the details of her and Preston’s wedding day like where and when, she turned to Megan and Mallory for help for the big day. We officially had a May 2025 wedding on the calendar and were thrilled to jump into planning with Tecia and Preston!

Down to Business

We did most of our planning virtually to accommodate everyone's schedules (and so Megan could be part of the planning process from Utah). We nailed down logistics like vendors, timeline, and floor plan during the planning process, but we also got to help Tecia with some of the “more fun” decisions like “what invite suite to pick” or “which leaf to use at the base of the tablescapes”. As we got closer to wedding day, we did a walkthrough of the reception venue, Country Club of Roswell, with Tecia and Kellie, her florist/bridesmaid. It all really started to feel real during that walkthrough! We were envisioning and finalizing what would go where and what final decor things were needed. We met a few more times between the walkthrough and wedding day and in each sync the anticipation and excitement was rising!

The Big Day

The day had come! It was Tecia and Preston’s wedding day!! The day started off bright and early for the ladies who were having hair and makeup done by the team with Make Me Up at a nearby AirBnb. Kellie went by Country Club of Roswell early to drop off some florals and The Rental Place also went and got the tent and dance floor set up. Brighton of Brighton Callaway Photo arrived and captured some of the getting ready photos before the wedding party left the AirBnb to make their way to the church, Catholic Church of Saint Ann. Marmaros stopped by the reception venue to set out all of the cute decor that Tecia and Preston had brought in. As we got closer to ceremony time, we split up. Olivia stayed at the Country Club of Roswell to continue setting up, and Mallory headed over to the church. Vendors rolled into the Country Club of Roswell and did their own set up as things were getting started at the church. We knocked out some photos prior to the ceremony starting but made sure to keep Tecia and Preston out of sight of one another since they wanted their first look to be when Tecia was walking down the aisle!

Guests started to file in and take their seats, and we were all ready for the ceremony! The coordinators from Catholic Church of St. Ann sent the family and wedding party down the aisle while Mallory kept Tecia calm and made sure her dress and veil looked absolutely perfect for her grand entrance. The double doors opened and Tecia and Preston saw one another for the first time which is always such a sweet moment to get to witness. Father Nico performed a beautiful ceremony and before we knew it Tecia and Preston were walking back down the aisle hand in hand as husband and wife! Guests lined the front stairs of the church and Tecia and Preston ran through petals that were being tossed before they went to knock out some formal photos.

Guests left the church and made their way over to the Country Club of Roswell for cocktail hour and once photos had wrapped up Tecia and Preston joined their guests. After some time mingling and enjoying drinks and appetizers from the Country Club of Roswell, guests were invited to find their seats in the tent. Tecia and Preston were introduced by their DJ, Say Hey KP, then made their way to the dance floor where they shared a beautiful first dance to Tattooed Heart - there were definitely tears in guests eyes as they watched the choreographed dance. Next, we heard a welcome speech from Tecia’s dad followed by a blessing by Preston’s dad before dinner was served. Guests enjoyed the tasty food that Country Club of Roswell provided. Tecia and Preston cut their cake from Publix and we heard some toasts from their people of honor. Before we could get the party started for the evening, Tecia and Preston both shared dances with their respective parents. Once the dance floor was officially open the guests were READY. Throughout the night, I don’t think we ever saw a lacking dance floor. At one point, Brighton grabbed a group photo of the newlyweds and all of the guests there to celebrate them - we loved this idea! From traditional dances to lip syncing and everything in between, guests loved celebrating the love of Tecia and Preston! At the end of the night, guests lined up with sparklers and the newlyweds ran through before heading off. Tecia and Preston truly were celebrated so well!

Something Spectacular

The vision for the big day was a tropical getaway, but that can be hard to achieve in the suburbs of Atlanta. Tecia had a vision and executed on it PERFECTLY. The color palette of the bridesmaids dresses, florals, and small details really brought this vision to life! The florals of the wedding were a mixture of tropical flowers, like orchids and birds of paradise, and greenery, like monstera and palm leaves. On the reception tables, Tecia and Preston created a tablescape that included woven placemats, the tropical flowers, and bright and colorful custom fans that said “The Martins est. 2025”. To go along with the tablescape details, Tecia and Preston had leis that they wore during the reception. Last but not least, what’s a tropical getaway without some tropical drinks?! Tecia and Preston had some signature cocktails named after their pups which guests enjoyed all night long. Even though suburban Atlanta doesn’t scream the tropics, guests truly felt like they had a little getaway when celebrating Tecia and Preston for the night!

Happily Ever After

We couldn’t be happier for Tecia and Preston! Obviously, Megan was sad to miss out on their big day, but was there in spirit! We both wish you all the best and cannot wait to see where the future takes the two of you!
