How We Met

Olivia and Sam heard about us from mutual connections. One of our current brides, Loren, and her mom, Cathy, recommended our team to Olivia and Sam. After their inquiry, we hopped on a call with Olivia where we heard their plans for their wedding day and discussed how Marmaros could be a beneficial piece of their day. Shortly after, we had marked off our calendars for May 7th at Little River Farms and we were so excited!

Down to Business

We typically met with Olivia and Sam virtually to accommodate everyone's busy schedules. When we first met with Olivia and Sam, they had most everything planned and thought through for their wedding, so it was mainly organizing and getting into the nitty-gritty of all of the details of their wedding day! Around the thirty-day mark, we headed to their venue, Little River Farms, to meet with their team and discuss all of the fun details like the floor plan and linen choices. The next time we headed to the venue it was the day before the wedding day where we practiced the ceremony. You could feel the excitement in the air as everyone was anticipating the following day!

The Big Day

The wedding day started with Olivia and some of her ladies hanging out in the bridal suite at Little River Farms where they got their hair and makeup done by Rachel Harris Artistry. Meanwhile, the guys arrived at the venue to spend the morning chilling together in the basement. We love how much space each party has and how separated the two spaces are from each other at Little River Farms. We arrived around the same time as Bantam & Bloom who was making magic happen in the reception space and Viki Sears Photography who got to work capturing wedding details and getting ready photos. Olivia got in her STUNNING dress from Anna Christine Bridal and quickly got swept away with photos for the day. Before it was time for the ceremony, we knocked out a sweet first look with Olivia's dad and some of the wedding party photos. We tucked everyone away as guests started to arrive to give them a chance to rest up (and cool off) before walking down the aisle.

As guests arrived, they were directed down to the gazebo where they heard Allegro Strings, a string quartet, while they waited for the start of the ceremony. Earlier in the day, we made sure to help ensure that Olivia and Sam did not see one another prior to the ceremony which only made that first look at the aisle even more sweet! Sam’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time was absolutely priceless! Scott Shields, Sam’s former small group leader, led the most personal and sentimental ceremony and at the end, applause erupted because Olivia and Sam were announced as Mr. & Mrs. Batson!

After the ceremony, guests were invited to the front room for a cocktail hour where they enjoyed drinks and some appetizers from Carriage House Catering. Meanwhile, Olivia and Sam’s family and wedding party stayed down by the gazebo to knock out the big group photos. Next, Olivia and Sam made their way around the venue property to get some dreamy photos before they headed back into the bridal suite to enjoy a private moment to themselves.

We were ready to start the reception! First, the wedding party was introduced followed by the new Mr. and Mrs. Sam and Olivia Batson! These two went straight into their first dance followed by a blessing for the food. Guests enjoyed their dinner by Carriage House Catering while Olivia and Sam made their way around the room to mingle with their guests. Next, we heard toasts by Olivia and Sam’s people of honor - one of which even had a slideshow for guests to follow along with. Olivia and Sam headed over to cut their cake by Publix with the coolest cake cutter - a sword from The Princess Bride which was a sweet gift they had received the night before. The eighteen-piece jazz band, Peachtree Jazz Edition, started playing for the formal dances with parents before the dance floor was officially opened up for the night. Having a live band of this size was truly something incredible to experience! For the rest of the evening, guests enjoyed the tunes of Peachtree Jazz Edition, mingled with one another, and danced the night away! Towards the end of the night, all of the single ladies lined up and Olivia tossed her bouquet. Last, guests lined up outside for a fun bubble send-off as Olivia and Sam headed to their car to drive off to their forever!

Something Spectacular

We mentioned the incredible experience it was to have the 18-piece jazz band, Peachtree Jazz Edition, playing throughout the night, but there was one specific song that really stood out on Olivia and Sam’s day. Olivia and Sam selected Can’t Take My Eyes Off You by Frankie Valli for both their reception entrance song and their first dance song. Their families knew that this was the song that they selected, and wanted to prepare something special (and incredibly memorable) for the couple. During the cocktail hour, they handed out pieces of paper to guests that expressed how they wanted the guests to surprise the bride and groom by singing along to their first dance song during the chorus. After they were introduced and started their first dance the only accompaniment was the music of the jazz band, but during their first dance, sure enough, all of their guests started to sing the lyrics “I love you baby” etc. Witnessing a surprising moment like this felt like something directly out of a romantic comedy movie. It’s a moment we will never forget!

Happily Ever After

Getting to know Olivia and Sam and their families during the wedding planning process was so special. Their day was absolutely incredible and we are so honored to have been a part of it! We wish nothing but the best to the new Mr. and Mrs. Batson!
