How We Met

Nicole first reached out to us in March after Courtney from Peachy Keen recommended us. Like we always did pre-covid (does anyone remember those days?), we met with her at the Starbucks in Kennesaw to talk about her vision for the day and how we could help her make her and Spencer’s vision come to life!

Love Story

We love hearing how our couples fell in love. Nicole & Spencer's story is short but so sweet!

"We met through a mutual friend. At first, we started out as friends. Then after a few months, we became official and dated 3 years before getting engaged!"

Down to Business

With COVID hitting right after Nicole & Spencer booked us, we didn’t really get a chance to meet with them until we did a venue tour in May. We loved walking through the barn and the pavilion and getting to know Nicole & Spencer a little more. We met again at Panera & Henry’s (YUM) throughout the planning period to keep up with each other and go over the plans for the wedding day. We had lots of laughs & they even invited us to come to their rehearsal dinner at Henry’s (which we promptly attended). We were very excited for their wedding!

The Big Day

When we arrived at Moonlight Stables on Saturday, Laura Cross Makeup was hard at work! Nicole was about to get her makeup done while the bridesmaids were getting their final touches done. We started to set up the floor plan inside the barn & laying down table cloths while the workers from Moonlight Stables started setting up the chairs for the ceremony. Unfortunately, rain was going to hit us (we tried to wait as long as possible to make the call) so we went to the rain plan ceremony in the pavilion which wasn’t Nicole & Spencer’s vision but still quite beautiful. Kennesaw Florist arrived just before the first look to deliver the personals and decorate the tables and ceremony cross. Once Nicole was zipped into her dress, Ashleigh & Tim from Queen Media Co got Spencer in place for the First Look. One of our favorite parts of our job is helping set up and then being able to witness our couple’s First Look and watching Spencer see his bride for the first time really makes our hearts so happy! Nicole really loved the aesthetic of the space where we were initially supposed to have the ceremony, so we decided to have the first look there so they would get some pictures in that spot before the rain hit! Prestige Catering and DJ John from Complete Events arrived and began setting up as the last bit of photos were taken before guests started to show up.

With the rain softly falling on the tin roof, the pavilion had a romantic feel just in time for the ceremony to begin! We lined everyone up in the barn and started the processional - we ran back and forth with umbrellas to make sure nobody got wet! Getting Nicole and her grandmother down the aisle was a breeze! The ceremony was so sweet and personalized to them since one of their good friends married them. After the ceremony, we invited guests into the barn to find their seats while Nicole & Spencer took photos with their families.

Not long after, we started with introductions and Nicole & Spencer shared their first dance before a welcome & a blessing was given by Spencer’s father. Prestige Catering opened the buffet - the staff was so quick about getting all the guests through the buffet and the food was incredible! Nicole & Spencer took the time to walk around and talk to all their guests after they finished eating. We cut the cake made by Chubby Cakes & Bakes before we heard toasts from the Best Man and Maid of Honor and had the final formal dances. We made an announcement that all the guests were invited back out to the pavilion which had turned into the dance floor!

After lots of dancing, it was time to wrap up the night with a sparkler exit!

Something Spectacular

Venues hold a lot of sentimental value towards a wedding but Moonlight Stables holds a super special place in Nicole’s heart. Nicole grew up riding horses at Moonlight Stables and has a great relationship with the owners! Nicole even painted a watercolor of the barn to put on their invitations! Now the stables hold another special memory for Nicole!

Happily Ever After

Working with Nicole & Spencer was a big bright spot in 2020 for us! We loved getting to know them and feeling like family on their wedding day! We are looking forward to seeing what the future holds for them! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Morris!
