How We Met

It’s always the best when couples see us in action at other weddings and hire us! Back in July, we were working Samantha & Austin’s wedding and had such a blast! Just two days later, Monica & Justin reached out to us looking for a coordinator for their October wedding. We hopped on a call and they booked us pretty quickly following. We were so ready to jump in and help them put the finishing touches on their wedding!

Love Story.

We LOVE hearing how our couples found each other and fell in love. Reading Monica & Justin's love story from her perspective is so sweet!

"If I could sum up the start of our relationship it would be in the famous words of Rihanna, 'We found love in a hopeless place.' This place is called Capital City. If you spent any time in Milledgeville as a young college kid, you know that Cap City is famous for their jet fuels, bull riding, and sticky floors - a hopeless place. But, it was also the place we met! After about 20 minutes of talking a quiet Justin's ear off, the lights turned on and it was time to go home. I thought we were both thankful to not have to hear me continue to talk (yell over the music). Turns out, I must have made quite the impression because he asked for my number and to hang out the next day at the pool with his friends. Naturally, I told him I would love to... knowing there was no way I would go because my family was going to be in town for graduation, oops! After texting for a few weeks, Justin finally convinced me to meet up for ice cream. How did he convince me, you might wonder. Well, after a few lame excuses from me as to why I couldn't meet up with him, he finally told me that seemed too busy and suggested we should stop talking. RUDE. Obviously, this meant I needed to give him a chance, and it was the best decision I have made to date. Since that date, life with Justin has felt like one big answered prayer. Plus, he even let me convince him we needed to get a dog!"

Down to Business

All of our meetings took place virtually to go over final details and get caught up on all the plans Monica, Justin, and Justin’s mom, Mrs. Joy, put in place for this perfect day! The day before the wedding, we went down to LaGrange to get a feel for the city and know where all the events were going to be happening. One final walkthrough was super nice and we were happy to put our eyes on the reception venue and be in the action on rehearsal day! Monica went to get ready and we found a cute coffee shop to work at before heading over to First United Methodist Church of LaGrange for rehearsal! We were so excited to be back in LaGrange the next morning for the wedding day!

The Big Day

When we arrived on wedding day, we started at the hotel where Bliss Formal was getting close to being finished doing hair and makeup. Monica was in the chair and was looking STUNNING! Yo, from Grapefruit Photography, was getting some detail shots. Meanwhile, her second shooter, Peter, was getting the groomsmen ready to go over to the venue. We grabbed a couple of things to take over to Hills and Dales (the reception location) from Monica and made our way over to the venue. All of the florals were done by Justin’s mom, Mrs. Joy. They were absolutely stunning and such a nice contrast to the black dresses and tuxes the wedding party was going to be wearing! Once we got the lay of the land, we made our way over to the visitor’s center where Monica was going to be putting on her dress. All the bridesmaids arrived dressed and ready and only Kelly, Monica’s Matron of Honor, and Monica’s mom helped Monica into her dress. We were BLOWN away by Monica’s bridal look! Her dress was absolutely perfect and so classy! Once we got all the photos of getting ready that we needed, we led Monica outside to do a first look with her bridesmaids before also doing one with her father. Once she gave her father his gift, a handkerchief for his wedding day tears, we loaded up into the tram and made our way over to the estate where Justin and his groomsmen were finishing photos.

We set Justin in place and had Monica come join him for their first look. Neither one of them was nervous for their first look, just excited to finally see each other! Monica even told us she was just excited to talk to Justin - which is so sweet! After knocking out some bridal party photos altogether, the guys went back to hang out while the ladies finished photos. It was time to hop back on the tram and make our way to First United Methodist Church of LaGrange to get immediate family photos before tucking Monica & Justin into their suites downstairs as guests began to arrive! The church was so beautiful and it took guests' breath away when they entered the sanctuary. We didn’t have to do a ton of florals in the church since it spoke for itself!

As soon as ceremony time came around, we lined up the family and the bridal party and began processional! Leslie was playing the piano and it just added such a special touch to have Monica & Justin’s favorite people walk into a live musician! When it was time to open the doors for Monica to walk down the aisle, the guests got to their feet to watch Monica and her father make their way down the aisle! The ceremony was so beautiful and we loved how Monica & Justin did a unity candle and acknowledged their family and friends and all who supported them. After the ceremony, guests made their way to Hills and Dales while we grabbed full family photos and some more shots of Monica & Justin before we made our way over to the venue ourselves!

Since the estate was so beautiful but a little broken up, guests were invited to the stations to begin eating and mingling. Kimbles Catering had stations set out so that guests could find food and boy was it good! We invited all the guests to the dance floor area and introduced all the bridal party and the new Mr. & Mrs. Poole before watching them dance together (could you beat that view?!), dance with their parents, and hear a heartfelt toast from Monica’s dad. Guests were invited to finish eating and mingling while Monica & Justin had a private dinner. Once they had their fill, we cut the cake from Cakes by Debbie and opened the dance floor. Honestly, we don’t think Monica or Justin left the dance floor at all! Charles from Jammin DJs knew how to read this crowd and keep them dancing! This group really could break it down! After a few hours of burning up the dance floor, we lined up for send-off and kissed Monica & Justin goodbye!

Something Spectacular

Monica & Justin were all about dancing. To make Monica’s vision complete, she wanted a black & white dance floor. We found one in Atlanta but it was just too expensive to get it to LaGrange when a wood one would to serve the purpose just fine. However, on wedding day, Monica was in for a surprise when she saw the dance floor for the first time! Someone had surprised her with the black & white dance floor of her dreams - finalizing the look! Dancing under the stars really was the highlight of Monica & Justin’s day and we are so happy their vision came to life!

Happily Ever After

We are so happy that Monica & Justin found us for their wedding! Working together throughout the wedding process was so fun and we knew the wedding day was going to be the same. We know Monica & Justin will have a wonderful marriage as they enter this next chapter of their lives! Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs. Poole!
