Molly & Clayton

How We Met

Molly heard about us from a couple of different people in her life whom she trusted, and she reached out to us a few months after Clayton proposed. After a few emails back and forth, Molly was ready to move forward with us! We were so excited to have a January wedding on the books!

Love Story

We love hearing how our couples fell in love and how our grooms popped the question! Hear how Molly & Clayton fell in love through Molly's eyes!

“For so long, my sister & her husband and Clayton’s sister & her husband had been trying to set Clayton and I up. Clayton had no interest in being set up and I was dating someone else. After many attempts, we were finally at the same event on April 14, 2018. It should have been awkward because everyone was watching us all night to see if we would hit it off - surprise, we did!! After a couple weeks of texting, Clayton finally asked me to go to the beach with him and a couple friends one weekend. My mom thought I was crazy for going on a trip with a stranger, but I knew there was something special about this boy. We had the best time and after the trip, we were inseparable! We started spending all our time together. We loved hanging out with our friends and family, cheering on the DAWGS together, renovating our first house, and loving on our sweet lab, Bailey.

Fast forward to January 25, 2020: I thought we were going on a regular date night, but little did I know what Clayton actually had planned. We get in the car to head to “drinks before dinner” when Clayton starts driving a way I’ve never been before. He told me he had a surprise planned and I still had no idea what was about to happen. I finally realize we’re going on a helicopter ride and I think it’s an early birthday surprise (since it was less than 2 weeks away). We’re out in front of the helicopter and suddenly Clayton is down on one knee! It was the sweetest moment and I was totally surprised. After the helicopter ride, we went back to our house where all our family and friends were waiting to surprise us. It was the most special and fun night celebrating with all our loved ones.”

Down to Business

Our first meeting with Molly, Clayton and their mothers had to happen over Zoom - thanks COVID, but that didn’t stop us from meeting in person later down the road! Molly & Clayton opened up their home to us. We loved being able to be in their beautiful house and play with Bailey (their adorable pup)! Unfortunately, their original venue stopped hosting weddings and events with no date to begin again - again thanks COVID. With their wedding in under 6 months and after some tears and anger Molly & Clayton found a new venue! Right before Christmas, we did a walk-through of The Stave Room with Endive Catering and Rhapsody in Blooms to make sure all the final details were in place. We met with Molly one last time the week before the wedding to see all the decor and make sure we were on the same page!

The Big Day

On rehearsal day, we showed up a little early to make sure we met Sydney from Blue Heron Studio who was just finishing the chalkboard design behind the bar. Having that finished for rehearsal for Molly & Clayton to see was so special! Rehearsal went so smoothly and we were so excited to be back the next day for wedding day! On Saturday, we arrived at The Stave Room and started placing all of the decor that Molly & her family had worked so hardon. Meanwhile Jay from One Night Entertainment started setting up his DJ space and Unique Event Elements hung the drapes that were used as a backdrop for the ceremony! The ladies & the gentlemen were at The W in Midtown getting ready. The District Salon & Lauren Maher were curling and pinning hair and applying makeup to the ladies and the guys were putting on their tuxes. Not much later, Molly, her bridesmaids, Chaise from The Tinsley Co., and Drew from The Rooted Pine arrived via party bus from Atlantic Limo to get settled at The Stave Room before starting photos. Robin and her team from Rhapsody in Blooms arrived to begin setting up the ceremony site. Atlantic Limo returned with Clayton and his groomsmen so we pinned boutonnieres on them and made sure they knew the photo schedule.

Endive Catering arrived and began laying table cloths and prepping the space for the flip after the ceremony. After taking group shots with the guys and gals, Molly & Clayton were placed for their first look and watching their reaction to each other was so sweet! The goal before the ceremony was to get all the photos out of the way! Molly & Clayton had time together before adding all the bridal party and then transitioning to full family photos. The last formal photo we needed before the ceremony was with Bailey - Molly & Clayton’s adorable fur baby! Bailey, who was camera-ready wearing her floral collar, was so happy to see her people (and eat a few carrots too)!

We put Molly, Clayton, and their bridal party back into their getting ready areas as guests were beginning to arrive. Molly & Clayton’s brothers were escorting guests to their seats while Rhapsody in Blooms & Endive Catering were getting ready for the flip that was going to follow the ceremony. Once all the guests were seated, we lined up the family and the bridal party and began the processional. We cued Jay for Molly’s bridal processional music and watching the happy tears well up in Molly’s eyes as we opened the curtains gave us butterflies! Mike Linch officiated the wedding with such grace and it was so personalized to Molly & Clayton! After they said “I DO” and sealed it with a kiss, Molly & Clayton were finally husband and wife!

They danced down the aisle before we pulled them into the bridal suite to be alone.

We had the bridal party go into cocktail hour and the guests joined them not long after. Molly & Clayton were brought dinner to the bridal suite which was such a great idea! This ensured both that they had some alone time together and that they were able to eat the delicious food that they picked out! We began flipping the room and setting final details on the tables. Kim, one of Molly's family friends, brought the wedding cake and set it up in it’s new home under the drapes where the ceremony had been. Once Molly & Clayton had their fill and the room was ready, we let guests back into the space to allow them to find their seats. Molly & Clayton were announced into the reception and were greeted by warm applause and cheers! They went straight into their first dance which was lit so perfectly! We heard from Molly’s dad as he welcomed the guests and blessed the food before we opened up the buffet. And let us tell you - Endive Catering didn’t disappoint! The food was so so good! Since Molly & Clayton already ate, they spent the time that guests were eating their food by walking around and talking to everyone before they cut the cake.

When we discussed toasts and dances, Molly had a really unique idea of alternating speeches and parent dances so guests wouldn’t get bored watching the same thing for too long - so genius and something we will for sure be stealing for future weddings! After emotional dances and funny toasts, the dance floor was open and boy did Jay kill it! Everyone was on the dance floor all night long!

When it was time to leave, Molly & Clayton stepped into their vintage silver Bentley from Special Day Limos and were whisked away to their hotel room! Leaving the only way they knew how - with class!

Something Spectacular

These two bleed red and black for the dawgs so it was fitting that they ordered UGA pom-poms and had their guests send them off cheering for the Bulldogs and for Molly & Clayton. This was such a special touch to their day and brought a unique ending to the night! We are always excited when our couples choose to do different send-offs at the end of the night! How personal!

Raving Reviews

"I cannot recommend Marmaros Productions enough!! Working with them was one of the best choices I made related to my wedding! I am absolutely a control freak, so letting someone else take the reigns was a little scary for me, but Megan and Mallory couldn’t have done better! They are so organized, professional, friendly, and always on top of things. They were always available, quick to respond, and ready to help in any way. They made my wedding day as simple as it could be for me! Megan and Mallory kept the day running smoothly and probably took care of problems I didn’t even know about. It gave me peace of mind knowing they were there to handle any and everything on my wedding day. I highly recommend using Marmaros Productions for your big day!!"

Happily Ever After

Working with Molly & Clayton was a dream and we couldn't have asked for a better couple to kick off our 2021 wedding year! We wish Molly & Clayton the best as they enter this new chapter of marriage. We know these two can conquer anything life throws their way.

Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs. Cantrell!
