How We Met
Leah and Jake had heard of us through a few different ways! When Leah reached out to us, she had already booked her photographer - Chaise Tinsley with The Tinsley Co. Chaise is a photographer friend of ours who we always LOVE working with. Secondly, Leah is friends with one of our former brides Melissa who got married in April of 2022! We hopped on a call with Leah and shortly after we had an April 2023 wedding on our calendar. We could not be more excited!
Love Story
Down to Business
Leah and Mallory first met in person at a restaurant in Chamblee. During that meeting, they chatted about all things wedding and also dance as they realized they both grew up in the dance world. This was such a fun and productive meeting! Later meetings took place virtually to accommodate for the schedules of Leah, Rhonda (mother of the bride), Gloria (mother of the groom), and Mallory. Those virtual meetings would end with the ladies making plans to divide and conquer the next steps of wedding planning! All of the details were coming together and we were just so excited for wedding day!
The Big Day
It was finally time! Wedding day was here! The ladies started their day by getting hair done by Atlanta Pro Styles and makeup done by Amy Crane Makeup in their cottage at Brasstown Valley Resort. We arrived and headed straight to the ladies cottage to say hello and we arrived at the most perfect time - Leah was just about to get into her stunning dress from The White Magnolia and do a first look with her ladies! All of the vendors were arriving and starting to get straight to work. The florist, The Flower Garden, and the DJ, One Night Entertainment, headed straight to the ceremony and reception site to start unloading and getting ready for the day. Meanwhile, their photographer, Chaise with The Tinsley Co, and their videographer, Caleb with Compass Films, went straight to the bridal cottage to start capturing some detail photos and candids of the ladies. Once everyone was ready, the wedding party and families made their way down to the ceremony and reception area to knock out some of the large group photos after Leah and Jake had their sweet first look with one another.
Photos had wrapped up, and it was time for our wedding party and immediate family to rest for a second as guests started to arrive and find their seats for the ceremony. Once everyone was seated and the music started, we sent everyone down the aisle! Their officiant, Brian Watts, led such a personalized and sentimental ceremony and at the end Leah and Jake were pronounced as husband and wife!
We invited guests to grab a drink from the bar and enjoy some appetizers as Chaise knocked out the remaining family photos. Michelle Winters played some amazing violin compilations for the guests during cocktail hour. After those last groups of photos were captured, Leah and Jake joined their friends and family in cocktail hour. We loved this because they got a chance to start mingling with their guests without losing important dinner time!
We kicked off the reception by being introduced to the wedding party followed by the new Mr. and Mrs. Fagin. Next, Leah and Jake shared their first dance as husband and wife in front of all of their loved ones. After their first dance, Rhonda was invited up to give a welcome speech and let us tell you this was one of the most clever and perfectly rhymed speeches we’ve ever heard! Guests enjoyed their delicious dinner provided by Brasstown Valley Resort. As dinner was wrapping up, Leah and Jake headed over to the cake to cut it with a sword (Jake’s personal touch there) and then we heard a toast from Leah’s dad, Andy. Leah and Jake made their way back to the dance floor to share dances with their parents. Next, the dance floor was officially opened! This group was ready to party! Everyone grabbed some fun sunglasses and some glow stick jewelry and made their way to the dance floor and once the dance floor was filled it was never dull! We watched as Leah and Jake were lifted in chairs and surrounded by their loved ones for their Hora which was so fun to see. Chris with One Night Entertainment, kept this crowd moving and grooving all night long, but even the good times have to come to an end (kind of). We lined guests up out front and asked them to take out their phones. Leah and Jake wanted their guests to wave their phone lights around while a UGA fight song was played. The couple hopped on a golf cart and were driven away to the resort restaurant where they continued to enjoy their time with family and friends throughout the night.
Something Spectacular
We’ll admit it. We love Taco Bell (well at least Mallory does). When Leah first said she wanted to do a late night snack we talked about the logistics and timing of things, but she wasn’t quite sure what she would want for a late night snack. Later in the planning process, she mentioned that they were trying to see if Taco Bell would be possible as a late night snack. Leah and her crew of ladies helping with wedding planning made the Taco Bell dream happen and on wedding day there was the largest spread of Taco Bell tacos we have ever seen! Leah and Jake left the dance floor to have the inaugural taco before all of their guests dug in. We could clearly tell that this idea that at one time seemed far out there and kinda funny was a HUGE hit!
Raving Reviews
"I don't know what we would have done without the Marmaros team on our wedding day. While we had a venue coordinator, Mallory and her team went above and beyond to make sure that everything went smoothly. Their #1 concern was making sure that me and my now husband were happy and enjoying ourselves and it made all the difference on our day. Booking them was THE BEST decision I made when wedding planning. Don't walk, run to book them for your wedding, too! Thanks again, Mallory!"
Happily Ever After
It was so lovely getting to know Leah & Jake and their families! We know that the future is bright for the newlyweds and we cannot wait to see where the future takes them. We are so happy for Leah & Jake! Much love and all the best!
