How We Met

Keri & Jonathan reached out to us in March of 2020 with cautious optimism that they would be holding their wedding in June of that year at a hotel in Peachtree City. Their photographer Yo from Grapefruit Photography recommended us and that was enough for Keri & Jonathan to book us! We were so excited to get started!

Love Story

We love hearing how our couples fell in love! Read how Keri & Jonathan met, fell in love, and decided to spend their lives togther!

"Jonathan and Keri’s love story is a perfect example of fate bringing two people together. They began as friends at Presbyterian College, a small private college in South Carolina that both Jonathan and Keri would say was a 'random' choice for their college journeys. By their senior year, they were in multiple classes together, sharing the same work-study position, and even living right next door to each other. But still, they didn’t take fate’s hints that they were made for each other. It wasn’t until AFTER graduation, when they both made another random decision to work at the same summer camp, partially just to say that they had “post-grad plans.” Their love blossomed on the sunny shores of Lake Wylie at Camp Thunderbird and continued to grow as their careers took them to Georgia, Alabama, and now Colorado. By the time it came to postponing their wedding celebration because of COVID, Jonathan and Keri had already learned that fate had brought them together and would continue to push them in new ways as they continue to grow, learn, and experience life together for the rest of their days. This understanding allowed them to have the perfect day in 2020 as they got married with just their immediate families, and then a second perfect day in 2021 when they got to renew their vows and celebrate one year of marriage with family and friends present. While Jonathan and Keri hope this is the last pandemic they encounter together, they know it will not be the last time fate pushes them in new directions, and they are ready to take on whatever comes next together!"

Down to Business

We began meeting with Keri & Jonathan virtually since we were still in lockdown. It became apparent a few months later that having a big party in June just was not going to happen. We had to push the wedding by a year but Keri & Jonathan still got married in June of 2020 so they would be husband & wife as they headed to Colorado for their new jobs! By 2021, we picked back up on planning by making sure the timeline still made sense, creating a floor plan, & doing a walkthrough of the hotel to make sure everything was just perfect for their do-over day!

The Big Day

When we arrived at Peachtree City Hotel and Conference Center on wedding day, Peachtree Florist had already arrived and dropped off all of the personal florals, Grapefruit Photography, and Alfaro Media Company were finishing up the detail shots while B. Young Beauty were putting the final hair & makeup touches on the girls. Meanwhile, the staff at Peachtree City Hotel and Conference Center was starting to drop table cloths. The day was off to a great start already! We began compiling vases, making a plan for centerpieces, and dropping table numbers while getting the rest of the ballroom ready for chargers & silverware. Not too long after, Jonathan & his crew arrived and began taking photos before Keri & Jonathan did their first look. It started to rain so we had to pull all photos inside but it was totally okay because the inside of the newly renovated Peachtree City Hotel and Conference Center provided a perfect backdrop. We made the call to have the ceremony inside since we couldn’t predict when the rain was going to hit which Keri was okay with since we had pretty flowers to put on the arbor. Once Emerald Empire Band was set up, they began sound check and we could tell it was going to be a GREAT party!

Guests began to arrive and Keri had the great idea to provide champagne to the guests as they waited for the ceremony to begin. This kept the guests happy and social! When it was finally time to line up for the processional, we queued the music and sent the groomsmen out through a side door. Their vow renewal was so sweet (quite literally) since they did a chocolate ceremony for their unity - how unique! Before we knew it, Keri & Jonathan were re-pronounced husband and wife and the ceremony was complete! We asked the family to stick around for one big family photo before sending everyone to the cocktail hour in the hallway. Keri & Jonathan went into a private room to have dinner so they could socialize while their guests were eating and also so that they actually ate something!

We opened the ballroom and it looked so stunning! Guests found their seats via an escort card where they relocated to the tables to kick off the reception. The wedding party was introduced and Keri & Jonathan did their first dance followed by a speech from Keri’s dad & a blessing before guests were served their dinner. During this time, Keri & Jonathan walked around and chatted with their guests and took photos outside since the rain had finally passed for good! Once everyone was full of delicious food, Keri & Jonathan cut the cake from Publix and danced with their parents before the dance floor opened and guests began to get down on the floor with the awesome Emerald Empire Band! The photobooth Good Times Photo Station arrived and the guests LOVED getting their photos taken!

With 3 hours of dancing, the dance floor was always packed! Keri & her sister, Kristine, performed choreography to Dancing Queen from their childhood and it was so adorable! Towards the end of the night, Peachtree City Hotel and Conference Center put out AWESOME sliders in case the guests got hungry while dancing. When it was time to leave, the guests lined up outside with their sparklers and Keri & Jonathan got into their decorated golf cart and they left the reception feeling so loved and celebrated!

Something Spectacular

Since they got married in 2020, Keri & Jonathan didn’t need an officiant to marry them. So they came up with the best idea ever - to have all the members of their wedding party have a part in their vow renewal! Each friend had a special job to either speak or hand out chocolate during their chocolate ceremony. One of their nieces had the honor of telling them to kiss at the end of the ceremony! This made their vow renewal so incredibly special & one we will never forget!

Raving Reviews

“Do your future wedding day self a favor and hire Marmaros! With all the uncertainty of planning a wedding during a pandemic having Marmaros in our corner truly made a huge difference! We had to postpone our wedding reception due to the pandemic, and Marmaros helped us contact and reschedule all of our vendors. They communicated with our vendors and met with us several times leading up to our big day! Their input and opinions were so helpful and their attention to detail helped us to truly have the best day ever! They are so organized and friendly and we could not have pulled our day off without them. Their pricing is very reasonable and they are just genuinely amazing people who want you to have the best wedding/event.”

Happily Ever After

Keri & Jonathan are so down-to-earth and fun which made their wedding day so enjoyable to work! From the planning process to wedding day, these two always had a smile on their faces and we couldn’t have asked for a better day. We wish them all the best as they continue their married life together and we for sure will be visiting them in Colorado for hiking and sightseeing! Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Mitchell!
