How We Met

Jordan & Alec reached out to us last April. They found us on Instagram and they really needed a coordinator for their April 2022 wedding at Barn South. We LOVE working at Barn South so we always jump on an opportunity to be back there to work! We set up a call to hear all about Jordan & Alec and show them some of our processes. Soon after, we were planning their perfect day!

Down to Business

We loved our meetings with Jordan and her family! Our first meeting, we met at a Mexican restaurant that was a good middle ground for us. After that, we switched to virtual meetings so that her mother, who lives in Texas, could join us and be a part of the conversation! At our 30 day walkthrough, everyone came to talk details and finalize the floor plan. We had so much fun making sure everything would be perfect!

The Big Day

On the wedding day, MP Taylor arrived at Barn South to start hair and makeup in the beautiful bridal suite! Not long after, Flourish and Bloom arrived to begin setting up the tables. Party Nation had already arrived and set up their equipment and Two Urban Licks had been smoking the meat for dinner all morning (and boy did it smell good)! When we arrived, the room was already looking so beautiful! The blue runners in the space really added so much color to the clean, white space! We added our floating candles to a few of the tables. Nicole Flores Photo and Heartbrave Studio were getting ready for the day and capturing detail photos! The groomsmen had arrived and went to the airstream to relax until it was their time for photos!

Things were moving along as Jordan stepped into her dress from Ivory & White Bridal Salon, did first looks with her dad, her bridesmaids, and one with the groomsmen (their reactions are EVERYTHING)! Soon, the shuttles began to arrive and guests began to find their seats. It was a little chilly but in the sun the seats were warm and the ceremony site was beautiful!

We started the processional and all the butterflies were catching up to us! Jordan & Alec had a very large wedding party, and you could tell this group really loved our couple by the way everyone was so excited to witness them get married! Soon, Alec got to see Jordan for the first time as she walked down the aisle - his reaction was priceless! Their ceremony was so intentional and Christ-centered. We loved being able to see into their relationship through their ceremony! Jordan & Alec were officially husband and wife and made their way out of the ceremony as newlyweds! As each wedding party couple exited the ceremony they ran to hug Jordan & Alec! There were lots of cheers and tears now that they were one!

After the ceremony, we took family photos and full bridal party photos before sneaking out to the meadow for couple photos. When we felt like we had enough photos for the time being, Jordan & Alec escaped to the bridal suite for a private dinner. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour where they grabbed drinks from The Aero Bar before finding their seats for reception. We rounded up the wedding party in the bridal suite to line up for introductions and this group didn’t disappoint with their entrances! Each couple had a fun way of showing their personalities when they entered the space! Next, it was time for our newlyweds to be introduced and to do their first dance. We heard a welcome by Jordan’s father before we started releasing guests to the yummy looking buffet line and carving station! Since Jordan & Alec already ate, they walked around and talked to their guests before sneaking away for some golden hour photos.

Later, we cut the cake made by one of Jordan’s very talented bridesmaids, and heard some very heartfelt toasts from three of Jordan & Alec’s favorite people. Jordan & Alec danced with their parents before we opened the dance floor. Let us tell you, this dance floor was packed all night long thanks to Party Nation! We even had to move some tables out of the way to create more dancing room since everyone wanted to party! We had fun glow sticks and LED wands for people to use as well! We did a bouquet and a garter toss before we went back to dancing some more and having our fill of late night snacks! When the night was over, we lined up everyone outside and gave them sparklers to send-off our very happy couple! They got in the car provided by Atlantic Limo and we all wished them the best time on their honeymoon!

Something Spectacular

One thing we LOVE that Jordan & Alec did was a first touch. This idea is so cute when you don’t want to see your spouse on wedding day but you still want a moment together. Jordan and Alec stood back to back and shared a prayer a few minutes before guests started to arrive. This was so unique and special!

Happily Ever After

This couple knew how to have a good time! They were so relaxed and just excited to be married! We loved working with them and their families to make this day everything that they wanted and more. We know Jordan & Alec will have a beautiful love story going forward and we cannot wait to see what this next chapter holds for them. Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Whitley!
