How We Met

**You know you had a good couple when you have to go to your old email to find out when they inquired** Cori & Jake reached out to us in November 2021. Cori found us organically on Instagram but after asking around, she realized some of her best friends, Taylor & Jon, used us for their wedding way back in 2018! We met and talked about their vision for their wedding day. This was the first wedding we booked at The Biltmore Ballrooms and we were SO excited because we had only seen photos of the space on social media in November of 2021. Not long after, Cori & Jake booked us and we were gearing up for their June 2023 wedding!

Love Story

Down to Business

We had a year and a half to get to know Cori & Jake and to make sure their day was everything they wanted it to be. We went to floral meetings and tastings while also having meetings about other vendors to make their day the very, very best. As their wedding got closer, we met to talk about details and explore all the ways we could make their day one of a kind. When it was wedding week, we made sure all the details were in place and we went to The Fox Theatre to rehearse for wedding day!

The Big Day

The wedding day started early for the ladies as Alice Lee Artistry worked on hair and Lauren Maher worked on makeup for all the bridesmaids and moms. The penthouse at The Georgian Terrace was a perfect place for both the ladies and the men to get ready for the day! A few hours later, when most of the ladies were done in the chair, Andrea Kelly Photography arrived to capture details (including sweet invitations from Paper Daisies), final touches of glam, and getting-ready moments while Bloomin Bouquets dropped off Cori’s bouquet and Jake’s boutonniere. When we arrived at the hotel, the ladies were about to get their group getting ready photos done but we needed to take a moment and gawk over Cori because her robe was adorable and her hair and makeup were completely stunning! When all the getting ready photos were complete, Cori stepped into her dress from Wedding Angels Bridal Boutique to get ready for her first looks while Andrea Kelley’s second shooter went to get photos of Jake in his custom white jacket before getting ready to see his bride! When Cori was ready, she did a first look with her father which was so sweet. Then we hid Cori away to bring out Jake to do their first look. We love watching first looks, especially between Cori & Jake because we love how these two love each other, so pure and deep! Cori & Jake got a few photos together (plus a sweet surprise first look with Cori’s niece and nephew) as the wedding party finished getting ready, packed up their things, and made their way to the lobby to catch a bus over to the venue!

Meanwhile at The Biltmore Ballrooms, Borrowed Event had arrived with chargers and flatware for the reception while Blooming Bouquets began unloading all the florals, Bold Catering & Design began unloading the food, and SiFi Entertainment began setting up sound equipment! Things were moving right along for photos as well. We started with bridal party photos before moving on to couple's photos. The last thing we needed to do were family photos before guests began to arrive and we tucked the wedding party and our couple away and allowing guests find their seats!

With such a large wedding party, we started lining up the processional five minutes before we walked down the aisle to make sure we were ready to go as soon as the start time was to happen! After a beautiful processional, Cori & her father made their way down the aisle to Jake! They told us at rehearsal that it would be a quick ceremony and boy were they right! We barely had time to set out the escort cards before Cori & Jake were pronounced husband & wife and coming back up the aisle to us!

Cori & Jake took some more photos with family before coming back inside for their private moment while we got to work flipping the room with Bold, Bloomin Bouquets, and Biltmore Ballrooms! Cori & Jake had such a beautiful vision for their reception and they picked an A-Team full of vendors to get everything done! I Do Linens really pulled the color into the room and the rentals from Borrowed Event elevated the whole feel of the wedding. When we were done making the vision complete, Cori & Jake did a room reveal to see all their hard work come to life before we invited guests in to see the transformed space and find their seats. Just Cori & Jake got introduced and went straight into their first dance. Then, we heard a welcome and blessing from Cori’s dad before Bold released the guests to their buffet to get their dinner. After dinner and a little mingling, Cori & Jake cut their yummy cake from Cakes by Anna! Both Cori & Jake danced with their parents before we opened the dance floor and SiFi Entertainment rocked with a hybrid setup with Simon mixing tunes while a saxophone player and a drummer amplified the music with live beats! This group partied all night long and we loved every second of it! When it was time to leave, we said goodnight to the newlyweds and a shuttle was waiting for all the guests to take them back to the hotel!

Something Spectacular

There were so many special moments to Cori & Jake’s day, but the most memorable and breathtaking thing in our opinion was their massive estate table! This table was long all their favorite friends got to sit with them and enjoy dinner with them. We loved how intentional this set up was! Not to mention that the linen from I Do Linens brought the sparkle to the room!

Happily Ever After

After a year and a half, we felt like we truly gained friends, and not just clients in Cori & Jake. Their day was so special and we loved every minute of not just the wedding day but the whole planning process. We know they will go on so many adventures together and continue to build a life of happiness. Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs. DuBreuil!
