Brenna & Jon

How We Met

Brenna & Jon heard about us from their venue The Butterfly Pavillion. We’ve done quite a few weddings there and we love working there. Brenna liked the idea that we had worked there before so after a few emails back and forth, Brenna & Jon were booked for November!

Down to Business

Most of our meetings with Brenna & Jon were in person and included really good food! In between talking about their wedding, we learned about their jobs and things they loved to do. Jon told us stories about the military and fighting fires. We loved getting to know them as people outside of their wedding plans!

The Big Day

When we showed up on wedding day, the girls and @MAKEUP were already in the bridal suite getting ready and Susan, the florist, was working on setting up the beautiful centerpieces and setting up the rest of the florals. Since the room was going to be flipped, the tables were placed on the outskirts and the chairs were set up for the ceremony. We started by setting up their awesome guest book and custom signs throughout the space before starting to count the hand sanitizers for each table. In the meantime, Madison Land Photography & Tolman Media arrived to begin detail shots and getting ready photos. A little later, Jon and his groomsmen arrived to hang out before getting ready for photos and the ceremony.

It was finally the ceremony time! Since Brenna & Jon didn’t do a first look, seeing Jon’s reaction to his bride coming down the aisle was so precious! For their ceremony, these two wrote a note to each other that they will open on their first anniversary - such a special moment for not only their wedding but also for a year out! Once they were pronounced Husband & Wife, guests were invited out front for cocktail hour. During cocktail hour, family photos were happening in the meadow and we went to town flipping the room! Prestige Catering helped us out by putting the silverware roll-ups at each table before the ceremony which helped make the flip go so much faster! When tables and chairs were in place, we hung the sheet that set the tone for their reception on the archway.

Once family photos and couple photos were done, we got ready to introduce our lovely couple! They danced their First Dance and then Brenna’s mom welcomed and prayed before we opened the buffet. Brenna & Jon walked around to talk to all of their guests before we cut the beautiful cake from Pinecone Bakery! After a few toasts and parent dances, the dance floor was opened and these friends danced all night long! Before Madison Land Photography and Tolman Media left, we took the family and bridal party down to the Starlight Dance floor for a fake send-off. But there was no pause on the dance floor - Sounds of Sinatra & Co., the DJ, kept the party going all the way to eleven o’clock!

Something Spectacular

One of the most spectacular things we’ve ever witnessed at a wedding was Brenna’s Parent dance. Her father is in a wheelchair and couldn’t dance with her on her wedding day. So she decided to dance with her uncle. In the middle of the dance, she walked over to her father and rolled him out onto the dance floor. This was so spontaneous and there honestly wasn’t a dry eye in the venue. Such a sweet moment to witness between Brenna and her dad!

Happily Ever After

Working with Brenna & Jon was such a pleasure and getting to know them was even better. We loved being a part of their wedding day and even though they didn't have a ton of time together before Jon was deployed again, we can’t wait to see how the distance makes them stronger and grows their relationship even deeper. Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs. Warrick!
