How We Met

Towards the end of 2021, we heard from Anna and Joshua who had heard from us from their venue - The Butterfly Pavilion. We love doing weddings at The Butterfly Pavilion, so we were thrilled when we heard from Anna & Joshua! We hopped on a call with them to hear all about their wedding plans and for them to hear about how Marmaros could be a part of their day. Shortly after the call, we received a signed contract and we had a May 2023 wedding on our calendars!

Love Story

Down to Business

We did most of our meetings with Anna and Joshua virtually to accommodate everyone's busy schedules. Both Anna and Joshua were both so prepared each meeting with plenty of ideas and questions to keep the wedding planning constantly flowing. Since it had been quite some time since they had seen the venue in person, we set up a walkthrough at The Butterfly Pavilion so that we could start to envision all of the plans we had already made and to create a floor plan for the wedding day. The night before the big day, we headed to the hotel where everyone was staying in order to rehearse the ceremony. You could tell that everyone was just excited for the next day!

The Big Day

Wedding day started with the ladies getting their hair and makeup done by Artistry by Shannon. The entire wedding party hung out at the venue all morning enjoying the company of one another and munching on some lunch. After lunch, vendors started to arrive and get straight to work. Audrey, their photographer, and Kanard with Creative Millennial Weddings started to capture some detail photos while their florist Forte Fleur headed down to the ceremony site to start getting the stunning florals set up on the arch. When we arrived, we headed to the bridal suite to say our hellos before getting started on the reception space. Everyone was busy at work and it was so exciting to see Anna & Joshua’s wedding vision coming to life before our eyes! Anna got into her whimsical and dreamy dress from Magnolia Laine Bridal and did a first look with her dad. Next, we lead Anna and Josh into the field for them to have their first look of the day with one another. This is always such a sweet moment to witness between a couple on their wedding day! Meanwhile, Emerald Empire Band arrived and started their sound check and Adriane's Delectables arrived and started to unload their truck and prep for the day. After taking plenty of couple portraits, we worked on knocking out wedding party photos and some family photos before heading back into the suites to rest up before the ceremony.

Once it was time for the ceremony, we got everyone lined up behind the doors and sent them down the aisle to some lovely music being played by an acoustic duo. Anna and her dad walked the long walk down the aisle to “I Get to Love You” by Ruelle which was the perfect song to create such a romantic setting for the ceremony! Anna and Joshua had such an intimate and sentimental ceremony performed by Cody, The Atlanta Wedding Pastor, before their family and friends and before we knew it they had exchanged their rings, said their vows, and were pronounced husband and wife!

Guests were invited to a cocktail hour at the starlight dance floor at The Butterfly Pavilion while family photos and more photos of our couple were taken. Photos wrapped up before the cocktail hour was over, so Anna and Joshua headed up to the bridal suite to have a moment to themselves to reflect on their ceremony, eat some yummy appetizers, and kick their feet up!

We kicked off the reception with the new Mr. & Mrs. Bermudez being introduced followed by their first dance to “Just The Way You Are” by Billy Joel. Next, we heard a heartfelt welcome speech from Anna’s dad, David, followed by a blessing by Joshua’s Uncle Richard. Guests thoroughly enjoyed the food provided by Adriane’s Delectables and the cake provided by Confection Perfection. Before opening up the dance floor, we heard sweet speeches by the best man and maid of honor. To open up the dance floor, we saw dances with Anna and her dad and Joshua with his mom. Throughout the night, guests went back and forth between the pavilion and the front patio as they were enjoying both dancing the night away and mingling with one another with cigars. Towards the end of the evening, the most incredible (and ginormous) pizzas from Big Pie in the Sky arrived for everyone to munch on as a late night snack. Once it was time for the fun times to come to an end, guests lined up underneath the string lights with sparklers and cheered on the new Mr. and Mrs. and they ran through to their forever!

Something Spectacular

Something that was so special about Anna & Joshua’s wedding day was actually one of the smallest (but most important) details - Joshua’s ring. Finding the perfect ring can be hard, but for Joshua they decided to not just buy any old wedding band. Instead, they had a custom ring made that resembled a bracelet that Joshua had received from his father. We loved this small detail and how our groom’s wedding band was a nod to someone very special in his life - his father.

Raving Reviews

Mallory and the team at Marmaros are INCREDIBLE! From our early meetings, Mallory made sure to answer all of our questions and keep us on track with planning. On the day of the wedding, Mallory made sure that we did not have to worry about anything. We were just able to enjoy our day! From making sure we actually ate to handling any last minute details, they made sure that we were not worried about anything. You need this team on your special day!! We couldn’t be more grateful for them!!

Happily Ever After

It was such a pleasure getting to know and work with Anna and Joshua over the span of their engagement. To see all of their ideas come to life was so incredible! We wish nothing but the best for these two and know that the future is bright for them. Much love!
