How We Met
Alexis found us on The Knot (which made us very happy) back in March. We talked on the phone to answer a few questions she had and sent over a Proposal and Contract - she had all the information back to us and had booked that same night! We were so excited to begin walking through this process with her & Del and ready to help ease any fear either one of them might have!
Down to Business
Alexis has a fun job with a crazy schedule (which we can totally get because we are the same way) so in-person meetings never happened mainly because Alexis travels for work so she was barely ever in the state when we could meet with her. So we stuck to phone conversations, emails, and Google Docs for communication. When it was time for her 30 Day walk-through, it was the first time we actually were able to sit down with her and get to know her more. We started to see her vision come together and fell in love with the venue’s space! There is nothing like a walk-through to get you so excited about a wedding!
The Big Day
The morning of Alexis & Del’s wedding everything was calm and peaceful up in the North Georgia Mountains with a nice breeze keeping us cool. We spaced out tables and chairs, laid out table cloths, and started laying the foundation for the centerpieces. Meanwhile, Alexis’ mom Sandy (who was also our florist) was setting up the ceremony site by adding tulle to the arch & baby's breath to the buckets going down the aisle.
The cocktail hour space is one of our favorites to date! A nice green patch with string lights for a romantic feel really completed the space so we didn’t need to add a lot! Just giving the highboys some tablecloths and burlap to hold the cloth on the table - so we went to work on that. We also set up the Cornhole & Jenga yard games (that Alexis & Del made) for guests to play while photos are being taken.
When the boys arrived, we made sure they had a place to go and hang out in the AC while we continued to set up and Nong from Evian’s took detail shots & captured the girls finishing getting ready. They ordered pizza for their lunch and began getting their photos done before the ceremony.
Flowers were put out on the tables with votives and floating candles. The kid’s table was set up with coloring pages and games to keep them entertained. We set out the guest book, which was a piece of wood Del’s mom burned a tree into so guests could use ink to put their thumbprints on it like leaves. Which is such a fun idea!
Once it was time for the ceremony to begin, we made sure that Alexis & Del were in separate areas because they didn’t want to do a first look. Seeing Del’s face as Alexis walked down the aisle to him really was so, so sweet along with the handoff from Alexis’ Mom to Del! The ceremony was so sincere with Del’s cousin officiating the wedding and Alexis & Del recited their own vows.
Once the ceremony was over, we did family photos and bridal party photos before Alexis & Del got to wander through the vineyards for photos. The sun was setting and the photos are just perfect and their love really shone through!
We went into introductions with a specially choreographed dance Alexis & Del learned which was so sweet (and impressive)! Del’s uncle came up to do a welcome speech and bless the food before Alexis & Del were taken away to have a private dinner before walking around to greet their guests. The food was so good - nothing like a good BBQ dinner at a wedding! We closed out the formal part of the night with cake cutting & toasts from the Best Man and Maid of Honor before opening the dance floor and getting our groove on!
And how could we forget to mention the Photo Booth?! There is no better way to allow your guests to have a great time and also allow you to keep the memories from the day than by having a photo booth! And they even have apps that make it so easy to do and you can even connect a printer to it! We loved this idea & how the entire bridal party used it all night long as well!
Dancing was such fun but when the night was over, we had their friend drive his red Camero around for the Sparkler Send-Off (such a sharp way to leave your reception)!
Something Spectacular
Something totally spectacular and forever special was the ceremony music - not only what was played but who was playing it. Alexis’ brother, Clay plays the trumpet and is really, really good at it. He was asked to play all the ceremony music! He played music for the sitting of the family and it was beautiful. Then he threw a curveball and played the National Anthem for the Bridal Party entrance in honor of Del who is a Career Military man. This was so sweet and so moving it had a lot of the family in tears! What a special honor it was for Clay to play at his sister’s wedding & for Alexis to have something so special in her day!
Raving Reviews
Alexis went to all of our review sites and wrote us a very beautiful review! We are so thankful to have been a special part of her and Del's wedding!
"Wow! Hiring Marmaros Productions was the SINGLE BEST DECISION we made for our wedding. My husband and I were married in September 2019 at CeNita Vineyards. It was a very DIY wedding with lots of vendors and moving pieces. I spoke with Megan with Marmaros prior to hiring her and we instantly hit it off. I felt like I was speaking with an old friend. Fast forward to a few months later… my work schedule ramped up and kept me on the road as the wedding crept closer. Megan was diligent though and kept me on track. This is where her education and professional experience shines. Her templates were super helpful, detailed, and easy to fill out. She truly thinks of everything when it comes to the wedding timeline. This paid off on our wedding day. Megan’s planning and coordination on the front end ensured that all of our vendors were on time and where they were supposed to be. This made our day so much less stressful. She kept the wedding on schedule and honestly fun! She and her assistant even jumped out on the dance floor at one point to teach our guests a dance that no one knew. I also want to comment on how Megan and her assistant saved the day more than once! Megan brought a ‘wedding day essentials’ kit filled with important items.. scissors, lighters, bobby pins.. you name it! I’m pretty sure we tapped into that bag several times that day. Next, it was extremely windy on the day of the wedding, which made decorating a challenge. Megan and her assistant worked so hard to have everything decorated and secure against the wind. Everything looked beautiful and exactly how I envisioned it. Last, it was the day of and we couldn’t locate sparklers in the 4 surrounding states for our sparkler send-off. I started to panic, but Megan worked her magic, pulled some strings and had the SPARKLERS DELIVERED in time for the send-off. AMAZING. Megan truly went above and beyond. I could seriously keep raving, but this review is getting long! Working with Megan and her assistant was such a pleasure. She was professional, poised, organized and so sweet. Our guests enjoyed her and our family loved her. She treated us as not only clients but friends... family even. I cannot thank you enough Megan for all that you did for us and for making our day so beautiful. Thank you for being so patient and kind to us. If you are looking for wedding coordination services, please stop your search and hire Marmaros Productions. You will be so incredibly happy that you did!"
Happily Ever After
Even though we didn’t meet often or know each other well at the beginning of the wedding process, we felt like we left the wedding day with great friends and filled with such joy watching them tie the knot! We wish them every happiness in married life!
