Abby & Chris

4.15.2023 | The Turnbull Building

How We Met

Abby & Chris found us on Instagram! We work at The Turnbull a few times a year and love featuring all our weddings there. The space is so beautiful and when this inquiry came in we were so hopeful that Abby & Chris would book us - and they did! We started working on their wedding right away!

Down to Business

Abby & Chris live in Chattanooga, really close to the venue (which is so fun). Most of our meetings took place virtually to go over details and plan fun aspects of their day. Both Abby & Chris were always ready to talk about plans at our meetings. We met at the venue to walk the space and make sure all the ends were tied for the 30-day walkthrough and we left so excited for wedding day to come!

The Big Day

On the day of the wedding, the ladies arrived in the getting-ready space on the 3rd floor where Bobbypinning Studio began hair & Crimson Robinson started makeup! Meanwhile, upstairs Flowers by Tami began the installation for the ceremony and lay out the centerpieces for the tables after the flip. Alexis Dimmer arrived and began detail and getting ready shots before Abby stepped into her dress from Aisle & Veil and they left to go do the first look with Chris at the TVA Racoon Mountain Boat Ramp. Their first look was so sweet and it was so nice having the lake in the background! Abby & Chris headed back to the Turnbull Building where we did wedding party photos and some couple photos before we had to hide away for the ceremony! Guests began arriving to the 4th floor and finding their seats. Some of our favorite photos are of Abby & Chris hanging out in the suite before the ceremony began! So sweet!

Grandparents, parents, groom, wedding party, and flower girls all took the long slow walk down the aisle before our beautiful bride made her way down! The ceremony was short but so sweet because Abby’s sister and maid of honor also doubled as the officiant! After the most heartfelt service, Abby & Chris were pronounced husband and wife and they kissed for the first time as a married couple!

Guests were invited down to the 3rd level for cocktail hour while we flipped the room with Events with Taste to make Abby & Chris’ vision come to life! Our newlyweds took family photos on the 3rd level and mingled with their guests. Once the room was perfect, we invited the guests back up to the 4th level to find their seats for the reception.

Abby & Chris were introduced into the space and went into their first dance before we heard a welcome speech from Abby’s father. The buffet opened and we were so excited to taste Events with Taste’s food - it had been smelling so great all day long! Abby & Chris snuck out for some sunset photos before talking to their guests, cutting the cake, and hearing more moving speeches from their siblings. Abby & Chris danced with their families before the anniversary dance (where Abby’s grandparents were the last sweet couple standing and gave the newlyweds some advice) and we opened the dance floor where Matt from Meaningful Productions kept all the guests out on the floor all night long! Clumpies brought an ice cream cart and guests were enjoying yummy ice cream all night long!

All good things must come to an end, so guests were invited to go down to the street level and line up while Abby & Chris did their private last dance. We went down for sparklers and to send the perfect newlyweds off to their new life together!

Something Spectacular

As their favor, the Orr’s had one of their favorite breweries label one of their beers with Abby & Chris’ names on it. This was such a special favor for guests to drink all night long - and a beautiful keepsake for Abby & Chris!

Happily Ever After

A perfect day for a perfect couple. We couldn’t have imagined a better night and we loved every minute of planning and wedding day with Abby & Chris. We know their future is so bright and we know they have a forever of happiness ahead of them! Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs. Orr!
